Behind The Name Narcissist

A week after opening my shop and introducing my fragrance, I have received mostly praise, but also some hate mail. To all of you - supporters and detractors alike - thank you. You are engaged. You have questions. So let‘s talk.
Narcissist is a loaded word. It provokes a gamut of reactions from amused smirks to a multi-page vitriolic diatribe. It is a word people use differently depending on where they come from, what they’ve experienced, and what they’ve been taught to value. But sometimes they are simply people who shut out the noise to survive, opting to protect themselves from the exhaustion of all the judgement and labeling.
Naming a debut fragrance Narcissist invites everyone to contribute to the conversation on a level playing field. Beyond background, race, gender, income, or education, we all share the same emotional experiences.
